On August 5, at Platform No. 5 of Dombivli railway station, 23-year-old Pooja fell while getting off a local train and sustained injuries. Unable to stand, she needed immediate assistance.
Head Ticket Collector Vrushali Sawant Jadhav was on duty. The moment she saw Pooja, she didn't wait. She didn't call for help. She personally lifted the injured passenger and carried her — all the way to the Station Manager's office.
Pooja was then taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and received timely care.
Central Railway has praised HTC Vrushali Sawant Jadhav for her presence of mind, compassion and unwavering commitment to passenger safety. And honestly — the entire country should know her name. 🙏
