Pakistan and Sri Lanka will host the Asia Cup 2023 from August 31 to September 17, 2023. All matches will be played at stadiums that meet or exceed international criteria, and the tournament format will be 50-over One-Day Internationals.
There will be two groups in the 2023 edition, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super Four. The Super Four's top two teams will meet in the championship game. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will co-host the 2023 Asia Cup.
India and Pakistan will play against one other in the same group at the ODI Asia Cup 2023, as announced by Jay Sah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

As announced by the International Cricket Council in 2009, the Asia Cup 2023 is a component of their Future Tour Programs (FTP). On August 31, 2023, at 00:00 local time, the TBC vs TBC first one-day international will begin.
The event will feature teams from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, all full members of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
